Other systems using flush mounted volume controls suffer from a fatal flaw - when someone turns the main system on, all the rooms turn on forcing others around the house to stop what they're doing to turn the music down.  With the Audioplex VCMute, musical disturbances stop!  Now, when the system is first turned on, all rooms are muted.  With a single touch of the VCMute's control button, just the speakers in the room you are in turn on.  When entertaining, an easy push and hold of the button will activate all of the speakers throughout the house.  A single touch of an active VCMute will re-mute just the local listening area.
